This functional enrichment test revealed that nicotinamide actively influences cell growth, cell proliferation, cancer, and the cell cycle, which are the well-known characteristics of Myc. Because Myc is an independent predictor of bladder cancer progression and an important gene in the bladder cancer signaling pathway [33], [34], the results strongly support the potential involvement of Myc in the prevention of bladder cancer by nicotinamide.
