Thus, in the ARP human MM cell line, our results suggest that analog #12 of curcumin could induce apoptosis in the presence of otherwise sublethal concentrations of bortezomib possibly through the down-regulation of the NF-κB pathway as a downstream effect of proteasome inhibition, which will be investigated in the near future.
