In the study of Murugaesu et al., univariate and multivariate analyses of 113 MOGCTs demonstrated the importance of tumor markers (AFP and beta-hCG) (relative risk [RR], 3.90; P = 0.009) and the initial stage of the disease (RR, 5.96; P = 0.03) as predictors of overall survival, whereas the age at the diagnosis had no prognostic value [10].
