RARRES2 and coronary atherosclerosis: Our study excluded the established confounding factors which might influence the expression of chemerin and demonstrated the correlation of chemerin expression in EAT and the coronary atherosclerosis in Han Chinese patients, which was consistent with the results of the study by Spiroglou et al. Another study found serum chemerin level was not associated with coronary atherosclerotic plaque morphology as determined by computed tomography-angiography in patients with stable chest pain [15], which was consistent with our findings.
