As shown in Figure 2C, overexpression of miR-18a in both MDA-MB-231 and SKBR3 breast cancer cell lines drastically suppressed the GFP protein expression, but not the expression of GFP-γ-tubulin that was used as the transfection control, suggesting that miR-18a specifically affected the ATM-3′-UTR.
