We demonstrate that when T7-C/EBPbeta1 is expressed in breast cancer cells such as MDA231s, a ladder of higher molecular weight bands are observed with both a C/EBPbeta antibody and a SUMO-2/3 antibody, indicating sumoylation of C/EBPbeta1 (Figure 1b). The gene discussed is SUMO2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
