Salas-Prato et al. [11] illustrated that Sirolimus potently inhibits platelet-derived growth factor (PDEF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (b-FGF) induced fibroblast proliferation on human Tenon’s fibroblast proliferation after glaucoma filtration surgery, and was not cytotoxic at any of the concentrations tested. The gene discussed is FGF2; the disease is glaucoma.
