Based on our criteria for detecting differentially expressed genes (P < 0.01 and FC > 1.5 or < -1.5), no significant changes in the expression of the B cell related genes were observed between any of the three experimental groups, in the whole cohort or when genders were analyzed separately (with the exception of IL1R2, which was up-regulated in males PD patients and was also one of the only up-regulated B cell related genes in our data). Here, IL1R2 is linked to Parkinson disease.
