IL-6 was highly significantly increased even in sera from patients with pT1-2c stage PCA, as compared to sera from patients with BPH (average IL-6 concentration ± SEM = 57.34 ± 12.12 vs. 27.46 ± 2.62 pg/ml, p = 0.0153, figure 3A.1). The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is benign prostatic hyperplasia.
