By contrast, in samples of Barrett's esophagus with dysplasia, we found a more marked, statistically significant decrease in the percentage of Rfx1 positive nuclei in epithelial cells (p ≤0.0001) (Figure 5E, 5I, arrows; Table 1), whereas the stromal cells retained Rfx1 expression. The gene discussed is RFX1; the disease is dysplasia.
