There was a significant negative correlation between number of DCX-ir cells in the GCL/SGZ and time spent in the centre of the OFT in PSV offspring (r = −.83, p≤.003) and a significant positive correlation between number of DCX-ir cells in the GCL/SVZ and amount of time spent struggling in the FST in CF offspring (r = .67, p≤.03). The gene discussed is DCX; the disease is cystic fibrosis.
