High levels of Spry2 expression were associated with better overall survival than patients with tumours which expressed low levels of Spry2 (HR = 2.28, 95% CI 1.22–4.26; p = 0.008; mean survival 48 (95% CI 41–54 months) months vs 37 (95% CI 26–40 months) months for high and low Spry2 levels, respectively).
