NAC inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) production and growth of angiogenesis-driven Kaposi’s sarcoma in nude mice (Albini et al. 2001), promotes anti-angiogenic factor angiostatin production and results in endothelial apoptosis and vascular collapse in an experimental breast cancer assay (Agarwal et al. 2004). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and Kaposi's sarcoma.
