Among these genes, it is interesting to note that TRAF3IP2 (alias ACT1) is a negative regulator of B cell function, its absence leading to lymphoproliferation and autoantibody production [20], but ACT1 is also essential in IL-17 dependent signaling during autoimmune diseases [21], IL-17 being implicated during lupus physiopathology [22].
