Our data indicating that the BTBR mice have an abnormal regulation of DA functioning with an upregulated CB2A gene expression in naïve BTBR mouse of ASDs [13], and our finding indicating an increased risk of schizophrenia in patients with low CB2 receptor function [17], is in agreement with the hypothesis that autism and schizophrenia represent diametric conditions [16].
