Stroke induces production and release of cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), by a variety of activated cell types; endothelial cells, microglia, neurons, leukocytes platelets, monocytes, macrophages and fibroblasts [3,4]. Here, TNF is linked to stroke disorder.
