Interestingly, the average age of ovarian cancer patients who showed CD4+ T cell responses against p53 was significantly higher than that of patients without CD4+ T cell responses (66.9±3.0 (11 responders) vs. 53.8±3.7 (10 non-responders), p = 0.013), whereas there was no significant correlation between the average ages of patients and the status of p53-specific serum antibodies (63.9±3.2 (11 seropositives) vs. 57.1±4.4 (10 seronegatives), p = 0.221). This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and ovarian cancer.
