Our time-course analysis of induction of LMP-1 and CXCR7 during the initial stages of infection with type 1 or type 2 EBNA-2 BAC-EBV, revealed that with type 2 EBNA-2 LMP-1 induction is delayed and weaker compared to type 1 EBV-infected cells, and CXCR7 expression levels are not maintained consistently throughout the time-points analyzed with type 2 EBNA-2 (Figure 3 B and C).
