Induction of NADPH oxidases has been shown to be involved in the neurotoxic response in various Parkinson’s disease (PD)-type models, including LPS, 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP), rotenone, and paraquat, with a possible requirement for PKC delta phosphorylation of p67 and p47 [120–122]. Here, FMO5 is linked to Parkinson disease.
