We have observed a similar phenomenon in colorectal carcinoma cell lines expressing heterozygous APC mutations, where exposure to increasing amounts of wnt3a leads to a dose-dependent increase of LGR5 RNA in the range of 20–70 ng/ml, but no significant increase in LGR5 is detected when wnt3a is used at 200 ng/ml. This evidence concerns the gene LGR5 and colorectal carcinoma.
