The present results relating to hypercholesterolaemia and cognitive and psychomotor impairments are in line with those of previous reports indicating cholesterol-induced memory deficits in transgenic mice expressing human mutant APP [41], with those of studies on hypercholesterolaemia-induced memory dysfunction in LDLR-/- mice [11], [33], and with those on cognitive impairment in rats fed high saturated fat diets [42]. Here, LDLR is linked to Hypercholesterolemia.
