PRKG1 and cancer: More specifically, each has either been previously associated with cancer (DCC in the Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) [22]; FHIT and DCC in the Genome Association Database (GAD) [23]), or belongs to a gene family that has been previously associated with some form of cancer (the Kinase gene PRKG1, and the GABA receptor subunit gene GABRG3).
