Since suppression of LRP6 in Rad6B overexpressing breast cancer cells results in decreases in expression of Wnt ligands (Wnt 2B, Wnt 6, Wnt 9A, Wnt 10A), β-catenin transcriptional activity and tumor growth suggests that overexpression of Rad6B and Wnt ligands may act in concert to influence breast cancer progression. The gene discussed is UBE2B; the disease is breast carcinoma.
