Surprisingly there was a significantly higher degree of insulin use in patients with anamnestic hypoglycaemia (OR 1.88; 95%CI 1.49-2.39), while less oral antidiabetic drugs were prescribed in these patients (mean 1.5 ± 0.7 vs. 1.8 ± 0.7; p < 0.0001).
