To determine whether T cells in conjunction with neutrophils are responsible for the relatively more efficient elimination of C. trachomatis in Irgm1/m3(-/-) mice compared to Ifngr1-/- mice, we treated Irgm1/m3(-/-), Ifngr1-/- and wildtype mice with anti-CD4 and anti-GR1 depleting antibodies, and determined bacterial burden at 15 days post infection.
