The aim of this study was, using a tagging approach, to evaluate the possible correlation between all the common genetic variability of TAS2R38 and the resulting “tasting ability” and CRC risk in a total of 1203 cases of colorectal cancer and 1332 controls from the German and Czech populations, which are known to exhibit one of the higher incidence of CRC [32]. Here, TAS2R38 is linked to colorectal cancer.
