Performing logistic regression analysis jointly on the German and the Czech populations we observed a statistically significant association between TAS2R38 diplotypes and CRC risk: carriers of the AVI/AVI diplotype present an increased risk of CRC compared to the PAV/PAV carriers with an OR of 1.33 (95% CI 1.03–1.72; p = 0.027). The gene discussed is TAS2R38; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
