We have recently found that platelet-derived growth factor-D (PDGF-D), a newly recognized growth factor, which is known to regulate many cellular processes including cell proliferation, transformation, invasion and angiogenesis, induced EMT in PC3 PCa cell line by down-regulating the expression of the miR-200 family, resulting in increased expression of ZEB1, ZEB2 and slug [20,70,75]. Here, PDGFD is linked to posterior cortical atrophy.
