The analysis showed that neither the caspase-1 inhibitor YVAD, the cathepsin B inhibitor CA-074Me, nor the pan-caspase inhibitor ZVAD had any significant effect on DNA fragmentation (Fig. 4A), loss of mitochondrial potential (Fig. 4B) or compromised plasma membrane integrity (Fig. 4C) after two days of infection. This evidence concerns the gene CTSB and infection.
