Regarding the CCND1 gene, about 50% of the signals were found to be present either inside (Figure 1A) or at the periphery of painted chromosome 11 territory in normal mucus of both the esophagus and the stomach, whereas in esophageal and gastric carcinomas, higher frequency was observed in the periphery of the CT (60.55% and 83.73%, respectively) (Figure 1B). This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and gastric carcinoma.
