The genes aldolase 3 (Aldo3) and phospholipase C beta 1 (Plcb1), involved in glycolysis and lipid metabolism, respectively, were differentially expressed in the clozapine-treated but not in the haloperidol-treated mice [81], suggesting that these genes are involved in the regulation of body weight rather than in schizophrenia. The gene discussed is PLCB1; the disease is schizophrenia.
