Studies using a high-dose infusion of Infliximab (10 mg/kg) in RA patients have shown significant reductions in C-reactive protein levels [35,36], improvements in Disease Activity Score (DAS) and American College of Rheumatology (ACR) response [37], and significant reductions in bone resorption as measured by β-CrossLaps, a predictor of annual bone loss in RA, as soon as 24 hours post infusion [37]. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and rheumatoid arthritis.
