Genistein, biochanin A and daidzein exhibited the inhibitory activities on the aromatase production in vitro, indicating that the phytoestrogen-induced aromatase suppression contributes to reducing the intracellular E2 production and subsequently inhibiting hormone-dependent ovarian cancer growth in an indirect manner [25, 26, Fig. 3-(7, 8)].
