MI/R resulted in significant cardiac necrosis (41.26 ± 1.93; 30.46 ± 1.30), elevation in tissue and serum lipid peroxidation (129.95 ± 5.62, 19.08 ± 1.37; 101.91 ± 5.78, 16.74 ± 0.61), elevation in cardiac marker enzymes AST, ALT and decline in antioxidant status catalase, reduced glutathione in the normal control MI/R group and vehicle control MI/R group. Here, CAT is linked to myocardial infarction.
