In line with these observations, our data showed that both miR-335 and knockdown of Daam1 (siDaam1) efficiently promoted invasion of C6 and U87-MG astrosytoma cells, and an alteration of cell morphology as well as a loss of actin stress fibers together with induction of actin-positive membrane ruffles were also observed, indicating that the actin rearrangement may contribute to the pro-invasive effect of miR-335 in astrocytoma cells. Here, DAAM1 is linked to astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
