It was shown that the protein complex responsible for P986 3Hyp formation is made up of prolyl 3-hydroxylase, cartilage associated protein (CRTAP) and cyclophylin B [13], [14], and that mutations in the genes encoding any one of these proteins can result in recessive osteogenesis imperfecta [6]–[12].
