As DUSP12 is known to be over-expressed in invasive sarcomas [29], [30], and we have demonstrated that selective up-regulation of DUSP12 leads to increased c-met expression, it would be interesting to examine whether primary sarcomas containing the 1q21–1q23 amplicon also demonstrate increased expression of the c-met proto- oncogene.
