We observed that there were significant reductions in the FMRP/NSE ratio (55%, P < 0.017) and the FMRP/β-actin ratio (50%, P < 0.042) in BA9 of adults with autism compared with controls (P < 0.026) (Figure 1 and Tables 2 and 3). The gene discussed is FMR1; the disease is autism.
