Furthermore, all CKD subjects with other comorbidities including DM, hypertension and CHD in this study had significantly higher plasma FGF21 levels (1422±302.9 pg/ml, n = 9) than those without corresponding comorbidities (611.2±111.5 pg/ml, n = 55, p = 0.0091). This evidence concerns the gene FGF21 and chronic kidney disease.
