We showed a prominent interaction between DNA-PKcs and c-Myc and an increased level of phosphorylated c-Myc levels in PC3-MM2 cells compared to PC3 cells, suggesting the possibility that the overexpressed DNA-PKcs might contribute to the overexpression c-Myc in metastatic cancer cells via its stabilization. This evidence concerns the gene PRKDC and metastatic malignant neoplasm.
