c-Myc is deregulated in a wide range of human cancers, including breast, colon, cervical and small-cell lung carcinomas, osteosarcomas, glioblastomas, melanoma and myeloid leukaemias, and c-Myc over-expression is frequently correlated with aggressive metastasis, poor differentiation and poor prognosis [31].
