Interestingly, the biochemical analysis of medulloblastoma tumors collected from each group showed an increase in apoptotic markers (cleaved caspase-3 and PARP), decrease in HDAC4 level and phosphorylation, and elevated acetylation of α-tubulin in curcumin-treated tumors when compared with control tumors (Figure 6C), mirroring the results obtained in cultured medulloblastoma cells. The gene discussed is HDAC4; the disease is medulloblastoma.
