Interestingly, similar to histone acetylation, TSA treatment resulted in increased IL-13Rα2 mRNA expression in pancreatic cancer cell lines that normally have undetectable levels of IL-13Rα2 expression, while no changes were seen in cells expressing high levels of IL-13Rα2 mRNA or normal cell lines (Figure 2A). This evidence concerns the gene IL13RA2 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
