Furthermore, even a five-fold enrichment of Cdc34 in mammalian cells is sufficient to inhibit an association of CENP-E with kinetochores and to either delay or block metaphase alignment of chromosomes [61,62]; and a similar 4-fold accumulation of Cdc34 has been linked to the development of pediatric T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia [63]. Here, CDC34 is linked to T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
