We also identified BTG2 and MUS81-targeting siRNAs asinhibitors of HIV replication, although we found that transfection of siRNAstargeting EP300, GTF2H2 and UBE2B enhanced HIV infection by at least two-fold, andwe did not see a robust effect with siRNAs targeting any of the remaining genes.Comparing the screen reported here with our own genome scale screen [8], wepreviously reported a decrease in HIV infection following transfection with fivesiRNA pools targeting DNA repair enzymes, two of which were only effective at 96 hpost-infection. This evidence concerns the gene BTG2 and HIV infectious disease.
