Consistent with reports that identified c-MYC and Cyclin D1 as two important targets of the β-catenin/TCF transcription complex [19,33,44,48], our results demonstrated that t-DARPP-mediated activation of β-catenin/TCF leads to up-regulation of c-MYC and Cyclin D1 in gastric and esophageal cancer cells (Figure 4).
