We also analyzed p-GSK-3β levels in control and PD human samples and found an increase of 128% [P<0.05] in PD brains compared to age-matched controls [Fig. 2C].Thus, while the absolute values of the increases vary between human PD and the A53T mutant mouse, there is nonetheless an analogous pattern of increase in α-Syn, p-Tau proteins, and p-GSK-3β, suggesting that this animal model of PD shows similar tauopathy as human PD.
