In addition to diagnostic groups, which included also type 2 diabetes (non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM)) and the metabolite clusters, we selected 27 other environmental and phenotypic variables related to antipsychotic medication use, diet and lifestyle, metabolic phenotypes (for example, body mass index, insulin, glucose, HDL-cholesterol, total TG), and other biochemical measures, such as CRP and gamma-glutamyltransferase (GGT). Here, INS is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
