KDR and Sepsis: The percentages of total circulating endothelial progenitor cells (CD133+/Flk-1+ cells in the percentage of all myelomonocytic cells) in all patients suffering from sepsis and in sepsis patients within the 'high creatinine group' were significantly higher than in healthy controls (0.93 ± 0.13% vs. 0.46 ± 0.1%, P = 0.02 (% of total MNC) and 1.0 ± 0.1% vs. 0.46 ± 0.1%, P = 0.01 (% of total MN)]).
