Inbred (BALB/c) mice infected with either STIB247 or TREU927 displayed significantly different pathology, with TREU927 infections resulting in more severe anaemia, reduced reticulocytosis, a less severe degree of splenomegaly, and increased IFNγ and IL-10, but reduced IL-12, levels compared to STIB247 infections (when measured up to day 12 post-infection). Here, IL10 is linked to infection.
