TNF and neoplasm: demonstrated the significance of CRP and IL-6 with regard to tumor stage in 18 patients; Jablonska et al. (1997) [6] studied the CRP level, as well as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α serum levels related to clinical stages of the disease in 42 patients; and recently Khandavilli et al. (2009) [5] found in a study of 60 patients that the CRP level is associated with worse overall outcome.
