IGHE and asthma: The prevalence and severity of allergic asthma has been steadily increasing over past 20 years together with the number of reported cases of fatal asthma, and it affects up to 10% of the population of most developed countries.[4, 5] The disease statistics clearly necessitates the increasing need for drugs targeting the mechanisms involved in eosinophil and neutrophil activation and accumulation, anti-IgE therapy for the management of asthma.
